FAQ

For the uninitiated

Do I have to sleep in a tent?

  • By default every ticket includes a bed in a shared dorm room. We have gendered dorms, unisex dorms and couples rooms which you can choose from after purchase. There is also camping space if you so choose, but you need to bring your own tent.
  • Will there be internet access at the camp?

  • The campground has pockets of 3g depending on your carrier, some of which are inside, which is handy because rain. It's probably best to assume you won't have internet access and plan accordingly.
  • How will I hack without the internet?!

  • We will provide a server with libraries and docs. If you need to Stack Overflow something, ask the person next to you!
  • I'm under 18, can I come? (or: I have kids who are under 18, can they come?)

  • Unfortunately we can't accomodate minors, please look into meetups and workshops in your area.
  • I have complicated dietary requirements, will you be able to feed me?

  • We are committed to providing food and drinks to accomodate all attendees needs, just let us know your requirements during ticket purchase and we will make sure your are catered for. If you have severe allergies please include this information and bring along your EpiPen.

What time should my flights be?

  • Buses to the campsite will leave the airport and CBD at 4pm so we suggest you land no later than 3pm Friday. We will have you back at the airport by 12pm Monday, or 4pm if you're coming to lunch, so we suggest you book departing flights for 1pm or 5pm onwards.
  • Where do I go if I'm catching the bus from the city?

  • There will be a group gathering at The Duke of York and another at Blue-Bird Coffee Lounge throughout the afternoon. The bus will pick you up from outside the Duke of York at 4:20pm
  • I plan to drive to the campsite, what time should I arrive?

  • Please arrive no earlier than 4pm on Friday, you can arrive as late as you like but keep in touch as best you can if you are arriving very late.
  • Will there be a place to buy things I forgot/couldn't travel with?

  • Both buses will be stopping breifly at the Brickworks Marketplace with a supermarket, department store and Dan Murphy's. The buses depart from the Brickworks at 5:15. Please be sure to get back on the same bus you arrived on.
  • I am signed up for the Monday lunch or activity course and I no longer wish to attend, do I need to cancel my upgrade?

  • Yes, please email us with your name and ticket code so we can free up a spot for someone else.
